If you know a child has been sexually abused, call 911 if an
assault or injury has just occurred, and you need emergency response. You may
also go to a hospital emergency room and/or call the Nebraska Child Protective
Services 24‐hour hotline, 1‐800‐652‐1999.
The WCA Omaha 24‐hour hotline, 345‐7273, can also help you
decide what immediate steps to take.
Do not bathe or change the child if you think an assault has
just happened until a physical exam has been completed. Bathing can destroy evidence.
